"The place is super. On the quiet side of Maafushi. Next to the beach. It s not croady so can lay and relax. The restaurant is simple but food is tasty. If you want cheap option for staying Maafushi it s good choice."

"SURRISE BEACH HOTEL is located on the MAAFUSHI island and it makes it easy to access the markets and connect with the locals. I liked it when we could visit other hotels around in the island and felt welcomed as the coordination with every hotels in MAAFUSHI Island were excellent."

"I didn't like that they had no alchohol on the MAAFUSHI island but only to get some from the floating boat."

"Location, friendly staff that went above and beyond in arranging various water activities, rental bikes, candle light dinner and a host of other activities on such a short notice. We got to see the perfect sunrise 3 days in a row."

"No hot water. Unsure if there was a bigger issue bit we didn't have hot water in our room for the 4 days we stayed. It wasn't a huge problem as weather was quite warm but we prefer using hot water so it was a bit of nuisance. This place is surrounded with construction sites all around it. There was a fair bit of noise and dust. While you were in the hotel, everything was fine though."

"We were really looking forward to this fishing trip, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. The captain seemed more focused on his own fishing than on making sure the guests were having a good time. He brought his own bait and appeared to already know where he personally wanted to fish, rather than choosing spots that would give everyone a good chance to catch something. Most guests weren’t enjoying themselves and when we politely asked to change location, the captain was dismissive and didn’t seem to care about our feedback. And mentioned there is no other good place .It felt more like we were there to watch him fish rather than enjoy the experience ourselves. Very disappointing, especially since a fishing trip should be about the guests, not just the captain’s agenda. We hope the company takes guest feedback seriously and improves the experience for future customers. The two assistant were really helpful they did amazing job"

"Good value for the money. Nice view from the balcony. The food selection was limited but tasty. Great location and friendly staff. Initially, our room faced a construction site, which caused dust to enter the room. We requested a room change and were given one with a great ocean view."
