"Had some dirty pillow cases but they were changed once advised, mould in parts of the pool, constant issues with key cards and the bar is excessively expensive for the quality."

"Great location, special atmosphere, takes some adjusting too. Overall, the staff were great, the room was quiet and the set up of the hotel promotes a peaceful place to relax. The facilities are needing a bit of modernisation, all good. This might not be everyone's idea of a 5* hotel, however the combination somehow works. Worth staying at least 3 nights to settle in to it."

"Try to manage the group of old ladies who visit the pool every morning so that they allow space for guests to swim."

"The rooms are very quiet, the location is beautiful, there are a lot of friendly cats which make the experience better, the breakfast was exceptional and the staff were all really friendy. We had a memorable time and would visit again soon."

"Since the rooms are not all connected to the lobby, it sometimes means having to run in the rain to get to your room or to the spa/reception/bar area. The rooms are really warm; even with the heating off and windows open, the blanket is too warm making sleep slightly uncomfortable."

"The place is beautiful and surrounded by Gozo's amazing countryside. Our room had a terrace overlooking the fields which lends a special kind of peace. We had not just a kettle in the room but also a little coffee machine and some pods. Very comfy beds and enough electrical outlets to hook up my CPAP machine and charge my phone near my bed. This is a pet peeve of mine, never having enough sockets in a hotel room."

"The bathrooms need refurbishment. I'm also not a fan of using machines at breakfast to get your tea and coffee. At that standard I would expect tea and coffee pots delivered to the table."

"Absolutely beautiful location, an idyllic setting overlooking the sea. Felt like ‘a little bit of heaven’ away from all the noise and bustle of life. Lovely authentic buildings combined with some of the more modern of luxuries (swimming pools, spa etc)"

"Breakfast fantastic. There are many improvements there. Bed in room 9 very creaky. Not enough water for two people. Only two tea bags. Reported strange character nosing around our bags at adult pool, but no response. Pleased to find the coffee machine available after dinner. (Was unavailable on previous visits)."
