Blue Lake hostel

"Blue Lake Hostel is one of the best places I’ve stayed in. The location is amazing, very close to the lake, the dorms are comfy and everything is super clean. Nino and Vesna are the best hosts ever, they are really sweet and nice, they gave me and my friends recommendations of what to do here in Ohrid and always made sure that our stay was great! I really recommend this place and I will definitely be back during summer! x"

"one of the beds in my dorm was two couch cushions on the floor with a sheet over the top. thankfully the room was never full so nobody had to sleep on it but i imagine that someone would be sleeping there in peak season."

"The owners and the volunteers Britney and David really go out of their way to make you feel at home. You could chill with them and feel like you belong there. Free ice-cream and delicious cake made by the owners. Out of old town but walkable to it, right by the lake. Individual beds (not bunk beds!) social but quiet at night so you can sleep well. Just a perfect stay I'd definitely go again"

"Maybe the bathrooms need a little love, the shower flooded the bathroom when you used it and it was either really hot or really cold but that's the only thing which isn't even a big deal"

"i have never loved another hostel as much as i loved this one. the owners, vesna and nino, were so kind, and i really enjoyed talking with them about macedonia or anything, really. the volunteers were also incredible — i truly enjoyed getting to know them, and they were always eager to help. it felt like home. the hostel was clean and spacious, with lots of cool hangout areas, and the location was super close to everything. if i’m ever back in ohrid, i will definitely stay here again!"

"We loved staying here! Vesna and Nino were so welcoming and kind. The best hospitality we've ever had in a hostel. Had plenty of recommendations for us and were always keen for a chat, even offered to cook for us. Our room had air conditioning and was very comfortable, and right next to the shared bathroom which was nice and clean. It's in a pleasant neighbourhood and just a short walk to the gorgeous lakefront. Would love to visit again one day!"

"Great hosts, great energy and very nice atmosphere overall. Very good location. The sports complex Biljanini izvori (football, tennis) is very close, so if you are coming for sports related events, Blue Hostel is a a very good option, at a reasonable price."
