"Kitana Lodge was a wonderful and peaceful place. My wife and I stayed here for only three days, but we truly enjoyed every moment. The host, Nelly, was incredibly kind and friendly, and we loved chatting with her. Even when we felt like having some snacks, like chips or chocolate, she immediately organized them for us she was simply the best and a good friend! The rooms were huge the largest we’ve seen during our one-month trip through Madagascar and they were also very clean. We really miss this place and would love to come back someday. "A bit of a Robinson Crusoe experience. This hotel is not for everyone — it’s located in a stunningly beautiful place right on the ocean, with breathtaking views. The manager speaks excellent English (a huge plus for Madagascar), is very hospitable, and does everything to make guests feel comfortable. The entire island is a protected nature reserve, so electricity is available only at certain hours — something to be aware of. Wi-Fi sometimes works perfectly, and sometimes not at all. There are quite a few sea urchins on the beach (common in this area), so for swimming we took a boat ride along the island. It’s also better to order meals in advance for a specific time. And the coconuts here — the most delicious ones we’ve ever been greeted with! Overall, we were happy with our stay — a truly interesting and unique experience."

"Everything. The bungalow was the nicest I had in Madagascar with mind blowing views, beautiful details, all of natural and local material and very clean. Every morning I was watching the sunrise from my bed!! The beach was fabulous and really quiet. The breakfast was very large and very tasty - I was always full till the evening - and they serve it at your bungalow or at a table on the beach. What was especially nice was the efforts of the staff to prepare vegetarian meals for me. Nelly (the owner) has been so kind, accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend to stay at Kintana Lodge."
