"We stayed in Zagora for two nights before heading to the desert for the new years and it was a very good decision. Karim Sahara is a good place to stay in Zagora and is centrally located. Our host Karim is a well-travelled and hospitable person with whom we had some very good conversations. The breakfast at this place is really worth it, especially on the rooftop in winter morning sun."

"The air conditioner was not working properly and the room was freezing on our first night. The second night it was not so bad though the aircon was not working though. The bathroom flooded a bit while having a shower as there is no physical boundary around the shower cell to stop the water from spilling over and entering the bedroom."

"Cosy and clean room, clean facilities. The man who greeted me was very welcoming and insisted I come down for tea after showing me around, and despite not speaking any language I spoke, still sat with me and made good company. The next day I met Samir with a view to getting a desert tour with other travellers I met. In the end the timing didn't work out, so I went to Mhamid, leaving the hotel around 7pm instead of the morning check out. I offered to pay for essentially sleeping there most of the day, but Samir wouldn't accept any money, despite having spent a fair amount of time drawing maps, presenting several options for tours all at very reasonable prices, and advising on what was achievable. Also, the included breakfast on the rooftop terrace was copious, and very tasty. Thanks again for your hospitality."

"The location isn't great if you're on foot. You have to walk the whole main street of Zagora to reach if you're getting the bus (and get stopped several times asking where you're staying etc) but the street where the hotel is is friendly."
