"It was clean, comfortable and everything was new. The rooms are lovely and it is in a nice quiet area. The breakfast was great and the host was very kind and helpful."

"Only thing is that it is a bit far from the main part of town with all the restaurants but there are plenty of cheap tuk tuks to take you there and back."

"Very good value for money. The guy looking after us was so kind and welcoming. He even bought fresh coconut drinks as a surprise to our room. As we were leaving very early on our last morning we declined breakfast, however he still got up early and breakfast boxes for us to take with us which was a very kind gesture. A little eat out of town but tuk tuk very easy to get."

"Pluspunkt ist der wirklich sehr engagierte Hausangestellte, er hat uns sogar um 4 Uhr morgens ein Frühstückspaket vorbereitet, als wir zum Sonnenaufgang zum Ella Rock hochgelaufen sind"

"The natural ambience was excellent, a proper place to take off your mind and attain some peacefulness. The name itself reflects the beauty of it all, The jungle retreat it is. Apart from the mindfulness and comfort, the food is through the roof, all flavored perfectly balanced. Staff and management is so cooperative at all times, i would definitely go there again in my next vacation to dambulla. Highly recommended 100%"

"We visited Wadduwa for a wedding, this villa's location is within 5 mins walking distance to the wedding venue. The bedroom was spacious and the beds were comfortable. AC is working - just the right temperature. Even though it's a homestay we felt that there's enough privacy :))) We used the cold shower (there's electric shower too) since it's very hot and humid. We used our own toiletries. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious! I probably had the best homemade dhal curry with string hoppers and roti. The sambol also had a nice kick to it. Mr Kuma also made me omelette. Freshly brewed coffee in the morning amidst birds and squirrels is a wonderful feeling whilst watching trains passing by. He also recommended us nice restaurants nearby."

"Absolutely stunning property with a beautiful beachside location, the outside shower areas are fabulous .Staff are amazingly caring, the food is also delicious. Felt like royalty! People of Sri Lanka are warm and friendly. Local diving in Kalpitiya is a must. Hired a tuk tuk for a true Sri Lankan experience. Wildlife at the house is truly incredible, so many birds and other creatures.Thank you Sisira, Indrani and Rokshan! The driver Serangha is caring polite and amazing too! 100% recommended."

"Silent Oasis was our favorite homestay in Sri Lanka! We loved the quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of central Ella, as well as the view of the jungle and tea fields. The family was so sweet and made the best breakfast we had on our travels. Also, the curry they made us for dinner was delicious! The bed was comfy and big, giving the room a hotel feel. They helped us arrange a Tuktuk and gave us great recommendations. It was also a perfect starting point for hiking Ella Rock. We also took a cooking class nearby at Honey Café, which we highly recommend. We would love to come back at some point!"
