"This is a small property located down a private road in beautiful Cinnamon Gardens, in easy walking distance to the National Museum and the Bawa House. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was spacious and comfortable for a one-night stay - it even had mosquito nets as well as a plug in mozzie zapper - and we were given a splendid breakfast overlooking the garden the following morning. Our hosts had made good use of their space, with a pool and gym, board games, and places to relax. It also seemed very secure as one could enter the property only by ringing a bell on the street. We appreciated being able to arrange in advance to change our large denomination Sri Lankan currency notes to small ones, and also being able to leave our luggage for a few hours after check-out."

"Taxis found it difficult to find the property - if they missed the turnoff they had to go a long way round because of the one-way system. Noisy air conditioning unit in the room."

"Great location on calm area. Hotel is good with very comfortable beds and ticker cover which we enjoyed after having thinner once on earlier places. Staff was helpful and since we had night flight back we could use the facilities during the day and the pool. They also had very nice shower with bathroom on the pool area which was very much appreciated to be able to use after a entire day in Colombo and to freshen up before the long travel."

"Hard to find. Make sure your driver from the airport understands exactly where it is before you leave to avoid getting lost like we did in the middle of the night."

"Our home away from home in Colombo, our family were made to feel very welcome. The small, friendly team were extremely helpful, and were happy to look out our excess luggage while we traveled as well as to facilitate a very late checkout before our midnight flight out. The pool was great and the breakfast delicious! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Colombo Villa to other families travelling with young kids (or anyone else, of course!)"

"We spent only our first night here, after arriving im Colombo. Great place with friendly staff. It was a big room, very clean, the breakfast was also very tasty and enough. The pool is an extra, very nice cooling off after a long flight!"

"Nice place in the Cinnamon Gardens. Walking distance to the city center as well as the national museum and parks. Really good Indian restaurant just down the street. Nice parks around for running in the morning. The hotel delivered new water bottles and towels each morning for all 6 in our family which was great. Pool was clean and perfect for our kids to "steam off". Good breakfast and friendly staff who spoke fluent English. The room had 6 beds which was perfect for our family so we all could stay in the same room."
