"Room was spacious and kitchen was great. What I loved was the balcony. It had shade which was good in the heat and the door had a bug-net installed so we could keep it open even during the night. It was lovely to fell asleep listening all the noises from the river, the cicadas, fishermans and birds."

"I liked and disliked the location equally, if it wouldn't have been so hot I wouldn't have minded that it was little bit far from everything. Also, our room door had a lock with a numbercode which was great (no need for a physical key) but we came home one night quite late and the outer door (without a numbercodelock) was locked so we couldn't get in. We had to knock to the door quite sometime before the staff came to let us in. We felt bad for waking them but no-one had informed us how to deal in the situation like this."

"The Property has a calm and peaceful location with great views over the Mekong from the balcony. The flat is well-equipped and comfortable with internet TV and cooking facilities. Very safe and secure. While located out of town, the local Uber and tuktuks are about 2 euros to the night market."

"Initially I had trouble using my card to pay on arrival and it took until the next day before they got their card reader sorted out. You should be aware that the property is about 2.5kms into town along a busy road. Sokview rents motor scooters and has free use of bikes so its not a huge problem but a long walk. I had no hot water for my stay which could be improved."

"New, perfectly equipped, modern apartment. Two air conditioners, fridge, washing machine, TV, fully equipped kitchen. Small reception, whose employees will help you take care of many things. Large, comfortable bed in the bedroom + extra bed on the mezzanine. Doors open with a code. Fantastic view of the Mekong River."

"The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. It has a nice river view and is well lit. The kitchen has all you need. The host is very responsive and arranged for us an airport cab, a motorbike for rent, and a child crib."

"The cleaning service during the stay is quite bad, floor was still with stains, dishes were with food even though they were supposedly washed, the bathroom was also not cleaned. It's mentioned they have a garden on the propery but it's not existing yet, they are building it from what it seems"

"This wasn't truly a 2 bedroom appartment. 1 enclosed bedroom downstairs plus an open plan mezanine bedroom upstairs with the light swtich down steep stairs required a head torch. Despite apparent fumigation beforehand, we found 2 slow-moving giant cockroaches. However, the owner discounted our rent for the rest of our stay and promised to clean every day to compensate."

"Sokview Residence is a brand new apartment building sitting right on the Mekong bank a short walk or ride out of the city center. We have been to Luang Prabang several times and as far as we can see this place is the only one around that features contemporary design and amenities. We stayed here for almost three weeks and to be clear: It was GREAT! Our apartment was very nice! Practical, clean, full kitchen, washing machine etc etc. Add to that a full 180 view of the Mekong river from your balcony. The staff was polite and helpfull and the owner (that can be reached by QR codes to SoMe posted on the wall) was friendly and accommodating. The Sokview rates are cheaper than most hotels in LP, so this is really a no-brainer. This is the place to stay in wonderful Luang Prabang. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"- The accommodation is located a bit outside the main area, which we appreciated for its tranquility. However, it's easily accessible by bike or local taxi. - We had a spacious room with a balcony offering a direct view of the Mekong – truly beautiful! - Soap dispensers were provided at both the sink and the shower, which was very convenient. - Room cleaning, including towel changes, was done every two days, with an option for daily cleaning. - Check-in was smooth. A staff member greeted us, and shortly after, a friendly lady arrived and explained everything in English. - She was always quickly reachable via WhatsApp throughout our stay. - There is always a staff member present at the reception area, which was very helpful. - Access to the rooms is via a code, which we found very convenient. - Additionally, a washing machine was available, making our stay even more comfortable."

"- Bicycles are available for free, but you need to be quick as there aren’t enough for all guests. It's on a first-come, first-served basis. - Unfortunately, the bicycles didn't have lights, making it less safe to ride back from the city on the busy roads after dark. - The cleanliness could be improved, especially in the toilet and under the bed, where we found some trash and dust. - There were also some moth larvae hanging on the walls and ceiling. While insects are normal given the proximity to the river, it's essential to ensure thorough cleaning and removal of such pests from the room."
