"I liked the classic colonial look of the place which made it look very homely and comfortable compared with the sterile steel - glass - brushed aluminum - marble hard look."
"The location was a little out of the way which makes it a little awkward to get transport. Tuk drivers are always opportunistic, and lazy and either want to rip you off or can’t be bothered taking you anywhere. But the hotel staff are helpful in this regard."
"26/1/2024-27/1/2024. We were literally at the hotel for 7-8 hours. We arrived from the airport to the hotel after midnight, and left the hotel for the train station at 8:30am. We purposely booked the location of this hotel as it is quite close to the train station and we had an early train to catch in the morning. The rooms are quite spacious, with a decent sized bed, big bathroom with bath and shower. The shower pressure and temperature is very good. Everything in the room seemed very clean and well kept. The area is very quiet and the room seemed to be sound proof. We didn’t hear and outside disturbance noise once in the room. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was good enough. Nothing to write home about but good enough for a quick bite to eat before leaving. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the purpose of going to Vientiane train station."
"If we had to be really picky: The decor in the room was old fashioned. The lighting in the room was quite dim. The staff english levels were low. (I’m not taking anything away from the staff. They’re extremely friendly and want to help you, yet communication can be a struggle. Tip: get a translator on your phone.)"
