"There was no microwave in the kitchen, no air freshener in the toilet and the toilet cleaner didn’t seem to be very thorough. There was always a faint smell of urine lingering in the toilet."

"Swahili Oasis really exceeded our expectations and is better than in the pictures and in the description! The house itself is beautiful, comfortable (big beds and great matrasses, well equipped kitchen, free drinking water!) and stylish, the garden is very well maintained and has an outdoor shower, some beds, and is very green, the manager of the plot and his family were so, so friendly and did everything to accommodate our needs and the animals (dog, cat and chickens) made us feel right at home and were great company. It’s a green oasis of peace, quiet, comfort and serenity and we would definitely come back. What really would make this accommodation superb would be a pool."

"When we were there it got really, really hot and that caused some discomfort during the nights; the fan wasn’t enough. We understood this temperature isn’t normal for Diani tough."

"Wir erreichten die Unterkunft aus Lamu wegen einer langen Busfahrt nachts um 21:30. Wir hatten kaum etwas gegessen und auch zu wenig getrunken auf der Anreise nach Diani Beach. Marion machte und uns noch etwas zu Essen und Sepp - davon hatte ich die ganze Zeit geträumt - tischte mir zwei eiskalte Bier auf. Überhaupt waren beide die ganze Zeit (insgesamt 9 Nächte) nur um unsere Wohl bemüht. Marion hat uns auch bei der Rückfahrt mit dem Zug von Mombassa nach Nairobi geholfen (Gar nicht so einfach mit der Buchung!). Ohne sie hätten wir auch Problem mit dem Taxi bekommen. Sie ist extra für uns früh aufgestanden. Auch die Gespräche mit den beiden fanden wir sehr aufschlussreich und super angenehm. Beide sind immer darauf bedacht, dass man sich absolut wohl fühlt. Manoa ist der Manager und regelt zusätzlich alles, was man braucht. Das Wohnung mit zwei Schlafräumen ist einfach nur zu empfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder."

"Am Wochenende kommen junge Leute aus Nairobi und machen in der Nacht Party. Man sollte sich Ohrstöpsel mitnehmen. Marion und Joseph können da auch nichts dafür, da es sich um Unterkünfte in der näheren Siedlung handelt. Allerdings haben andere Bewohner auch immer direkt die Polizei informiert und die laute Musik zumindest nachts beendet."
