"The staff especially Elizabeth, were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very good with 2 large beds for myself and my daughter. We were allowed to book in early as our flight arrived early in the morning. We were able to stay until our early evening flight. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice. We had some evening meals there and they were excellent. The bar area provided a lovely view of evening sunsets. It’s not far from the Impala Sanctuary - we walked there. The taxi driver, Gideon, who picked us up when we arrived, was helpful and took us to various places on other days."

"The service: all the staff were attentive to our needs and requests. Special shout out to Roseline from housekeeping. The hotel is generally beautifully designed. The bathroom is spacious, with a huge shower with hot water. There is also a large bathroom mirror, a toilet and a bidet. Shower gel, soaps, comfy room slippers are provided. The room is huge the bed was comfortable. They provide a desk where one can work from, a make up table and mirror, and a sitting area with 2 comfy seats where you can snuggle as you watch the tv or read a book. You can make your tea/coffee in the room as a kettle is provided. A mini fridge An ironing board and an iron are provided. They also provide laundry services. Restaurant: Loved the ambience They make fresh juice when you place the order Out dinner of tilapia, ugali and local vegetables was delish😋 Breakfast had varied food items. Loved it!"

"I enjoyed staying at the Sovereign Hotel so much I changed my plans and stayed an extra night. Facilities are excellent with a nice pool and areas to lounge about. I’ve stayed in many hundreds of hotels and can honestly say the staff here were the best ever. They were all so genuinely friendly and falling over each other to be helpful. Special mention to Celine in the restaurant. Hi Celine! I thought it was very good value. I’m sure you won’t find a better hotel in Kisumu at any price."
