"really lovely and clean japanese style rooms. the host was so so lovely and made us a delicious breakfast each day which gave us the opportunity to try japanese foods that we hadn’t tried before. he was also really considerate of our dietary requirements (being vegetarian) and went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and happy."

"Great location, just a short walk to the train station. Host was really nice. Was caring and helped out when my friend lost her purse, bringing her to the police station and managed to retrieve it back. He'd prepare simple and delicious breakfasts every morning for us (unless we notify him we didn't need it). Great attitude. The house itself is pretty, has that traditional Japanese design but still carries modern appliances of course. We went during the colder season so the seat warmers for the toilets and options for warm water on tap are great 😁. Overall amazing stay. Would definitely want to come back again."

"The ambiance of the homestay is very good, clean and comfortable. The owner of the homestay is a kind and loving couple. The hostess's eyes are bright, very energetic and caring, and the breakfast is very delicious. My son and I spent two comfortable days here, as friendly as at home. Thank you!"

"The house is a jewel near the station (but up a steep hill!), a traditional house with a lovely garden. The owner is very kind and friendly, and cooks breakfast himself alternating western breakfast and Japanese breakfast every day. We stayed in the Japanese style room and it was very comfortable! You can also use the fridge in the kitchen to story your food and drinks."

"As the bath and toilet are shared, you might have to wait a little before you can use them - but they’re very comfortable and clean!"

"I am satisfied with all. Will stay in this hotel again when next trip to Osala or Nara start. Nice people you met, even airport delivery by the owner at a proper price being available."

"I didn't expect it to be so but it was the BEST place I stayed during my 3 month trip to Japan. The owner is super friendly and helpful, same goes for the family members, I felt very welcome there, like a distant relative on vacation;) The breakfasts were delicious. The house itself is really beautiful, clean, and very close to the train station. It's very easy to get to all the Nara sightseeing spots. I cannot recommend this amazing place enough. If you hesitate - don't, you have found the best place to stay at around Nara:)"

"The Yoshi and his daughter were very enthusiastic and welcoming. During breakfast we would often have a quick chat that was nice. The layout of the breakfast/dinner area facilitates everyone to interact during breakfast. Also, on my Wednesday morning, other residents from Ikoma came to join which got me talking to some other locals."

"I'm new to this style of accommodation, but regardless, I wasn't too keen on hearing everything from my room... this didn't ever cause too an issue for me but made me conscious of myself being heard. This is not true for the other rooms, but the house is this style so sound proofing wasn't a priority"

"This place is just amazing. Most friendly and helpful host. The house is traditional Japanese style and gives a very homely feeling. It’s walking distance from the station and very calm place. Definitely recommend."
