"Friendly staff and nice beds that made us fully rested after a day of hiking Kurodake. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the start of the trailhead for Ōishi Pass; I booked it for this reason. A nice surprise was that there's a little onsen-style bathtub in the shared shower area behind a door which you lock. Only room for one person, but it was very pleasant! Toiletries and plenty of towels are provided, and there is space for parking your car. They also have a restaurant inside the hotel which looked very homely."
"Busses go to this location very infrequently and no busses go there after 6 PM. My friend and I were on foot so we walked across the bridge and along the lake to get there; it was nice and idyllic seeing people camping by the lakeshore in their tents along the way."
