"Peaceful location after the biz of Reykjavík but close to Selfoss for anything needed. Excellent communication from host. Easy access to the main roads for getting out and about. Hot tub was appreciated after long days out sightseeing."

"No teapot or larger mugs. The new roads made it a little tricky to find as our GPS wasn’t picking them up. Nothing to do with the property really but worth mentioning."

"This house exceeded all our expectations. Lots of space for a family of 5 (and bonus toys for the little ones!) Excellent location just off Route 1 but super quiet. The hot tub is fantastic. A perfect spot for our adventures."

"The owner of the property was close by if there were any problems, in our case none. The property was very good value. The main road (no 1) to Selfoss was nearby , but not too close as to be a problem. The host, Krissa, was most helpful. There were items already there that were needed eg dish washer tablets. The kitchen appliances were first class and the property was exceptionally well heated. I would stay there again without doubt."

"The bedding in the two double bedrooms were of very good quality. The bedding in the bedroom with bunk beds was of a lesser quality."

"The place is very easy to reach. It's on beautiful countryside not too far away from Reykjavik and from road 1. The hostess was very friendly."

"This is a lovely little cottage with 3 small bedrooms, 2 queen and one with bunkbeds. Beautiful terrace overlooking the fields, you can watch the icelandic horses grazing. The large hot tub was perfect in the evening! Comfortable beds. 2 bathrooms, one is quite roomy, good showers. Kitchen was fine and quite well equipped (although we didn't cook)."

"It was a little tricky to find - the google maps pin was a bit off and the highway exit has been recently changed, so it was not clear at first. Go on to the exit AFTER where google maps shows. Then follow the directions on google maps and again do not turn where it says -- look for the horse farm, drive into their driveway and then further on follow the sign for Stryta. There are 3 guesthouses, this is the 2nd one. Not much space to unpack or hang up clothes - only in the kids room."

"Everything was great. The beds were really comfortable, kitchen equipped, the location convenient, the view to horses great and hot tube amazing. And last but not least - visiting Cat - The Best 😁"
