Loft - HI Eco Hostel

"L'ubicació és al bell mig del centre i a dos carrers pots aparcar en zona P3 que té un preu mig decent i a partir de les 18h és gratuït. La zona comuna és molt bonica i cuidada. Pots guardar les maletes abans i després del check in, però crec que les deixes en una escala d'incendis interior, no és una guixeta. Tenen punts d'objectes perduts perquè trobin un nou propietari. És un hostal ecològic."

"La dutxa estava plena de moho, terra i parets. No hi havia paperera a la sala de la dutxa ni a l'habitació, només a l'estança del vàter. No hi ha cap àrea per estar en silenci fent feina. El saló i a cuina comuns són molt sorollosos. La cuina necessita inducció, la vitroceràmica és molt lenta i petita per tantíssima gent. Caldrien ganivets que tallin bé llisos, i paper de cuina: no n'hi havia. L'escala de les lliteres és la cosa més incòmoda que hi ha."

"Loft is very much a hostel hostel with all the amenities for any traveller on a budget (which is most of us in Iceland). I was in an 8-bed room which is very roomy. The kitchen set up is great, but it's a little small especially in the morning rush. They encourage people to leave leftover food and supplies so rather than wasting them and throwing them out. Recycling is real here, it is fantastic to see. The cafe / sitting area is very roomy, but the only downside is it doesn't open until 8, so if you are up early you have to sit in the kitchen (this is why I only gave it a 9)."

"The location was great, near all the tourist landmarks in Reykjavik. Beds were comfortable and the self check in process was straightforward."

"The motion sensor lighting in the bathroom necessitated that whilst in the shower you had to ensure that the light in the bathroom did not turn off otherwise you are showering in the dark. This causes a potential safety hazard if a guest has an accident in the shower."

"The staff and people were all super friendly and welcoming. The kitchen has extra food for anyone interested or in need, and basic necessities like salt and such for free. There are a lot of activities which is very nice, and the overall feeling is extremely safe."

"Location was amazing right at the bottom of rainbow street and very close to the bookstore music venue. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Easy self check in. Very safe area. Overall really friendly atmosphere and great for solo traveller. Would definitely go back"
