"Aska cottage is absolutely wonderful. Very cozy , everything clean and very well thought out . Kitchen very nice and came in very handy . We even had a barbeque outside Location is amazing . You have a beautiful view of the lake and church Bathroom very clean and beautiful I was amazed by how much you can achieve in that small cottage . And everything is neat and carefully done . The cottage is a little gem near lake Myvatn. And I would have stayed longer if possible . It is quite an expensive place but you also get a high-quality cottage in a beautiful location"

"The cabin was exactly as shown on the pictures. Well-made, simple but beautifully designed and well equipped. A special place with a romantic atmosphere. The cabin is surrounded by the campsite and there are other cabins in close proximity, however, the way it is integrated does not inhibit its privacy. You get this lovely view on lake Myvatn, there is a bbq on the patio. The evening ambience was stunning. The kitchen offers everything that is needed to prepare dinner. Nothing too fancy but the basics are there. Check-in and check-out were easy. You get your own parking space in front of the cabin. Overall, we had a great stay."

"Despite the level of quality we thought that the cabin was fairly pricey compared to other accommodations, considering that you do not get the same amenities of a hotel. We were blessed to arrive in Myvatn on a sunny and warm day which had heated up the cabin quite heavily. There is no air conditioning (which is understandable considering the Icelandic climate), however, we struggled to get some fresh air into the space because of the many flies and mosquitos, which Myvatn is known for. The landlords are not to blame for the insects, of course, but mosquito nets to cover the windows would have definitely helped. The design of the cabin is clever and slick, however, there is not too much space to stow your belongings. This might be worth considering for a longer stay, as the cabin can quickly become crowded."

"Quite small, the exterior needs renovation. More kitchen equipment and storage room would be appreciated. Very expensive for what it is, although those are the prices in Iceland...."
