"Although it took a long time (over two months) to get back my AirPod, which I had only noticed after traveling 200km away. And it came back to me when I got back to HK after 2 months. How amazing the staff and owner of the guest house made it happen despite the language barrier."

"The guesthouse can be reached with a very short detour from the Ring Road, being located in a lovely small village at a beautiful lake. The personal was very friendly and flexible in regard to our arrival time (flexible check-in option). The breakfast got prepared at the evening before and stored at the fridge for self-service in the morning for a flexible departure which meets everybody‘s needs. Breakfast was allright with a mixed box of bread, fruits, joghurt etc."

"Limited choice for dinner at Hvammstangi, although there are 2-3. However, we went for a restaurant that took us a 15mins drive by car."

"Don't just by the basic appearance of the outside, it's really nice inside, very clean and comfortable. Lovely and quiet. Very close to anything that you could want to do in the area. Sockets near the beds and some good lighting. There was no kettle in the room but there is one in the lounge, which we only discovered when we left. Good breakfast supplied in the cost of the room."

"Great accommodation for a one night stay in Hvammstangi, just off Route 1. Free parking on site, friendly staff, centrally located for the harbour (and walking distance to the excellent Sjavaborg restaurant). Facilities included free tea and coffee at all times in the dining room."

"We liked everything! Great location, easy to find. Stuff is very friendly, late check in, key in the box, no stress. Specious room to relax and maybe chat with guests. Good breakfast, fresh veggies and fruits and all you need for morning feast, which you can enjoy as well outside on a terrace."
