"We really enjoyed our stay. We had a villa with a beach view - a huge suite with separate living room and two bathrooms. The view is stunning - looking across the beach. Make sure you get room 104 or 102 as they have the best views in the hotel. The food in the restaurant was excellent - both Indian and Western. The pool is very clean, big and well laid out. All the staff were really helpful and made our stay really enjoyable. The hotel keeps the beach very clean and there are lovely areas to sit in the shade. Only five minutes from the ancient sites by taxi."
"Tiny things .... Some of the room fittings are starting to look a bit tired. It would be nice if the hotel had a tipping policy as this was unclear. Also it is not very environmentally friendly - lots of plastic disposable containers for shower gel etc."

"The location of Ideal Beach resort is just splendid. Added advantage is their food. Breakfast is really wide spread with quality foods. I was lucky to get Srilankan cuisine in lunch buffet, also met the chef it was really yummy, healthy. Beach side bar person is nice that which drink you should take in which way. Fresh coconut from the property 's plantation. It was a great shot time I enjoyed but will surely go there again and recommend strongly to be there you will gain a life time experience"

"Hospitality was excellent. The food was very good and worth it for the price. We stayed in a partial sea view room. Price was a bit high due to the holiday season. Lower rooms were excellent compared to the above rooms. Private beach access was very peaceful. Sitting in front of the sea. Swimming pool was clean and a guard was present to guide. Overall it was very good and peaceful stay."
