"The staff were amazing! So friendly, and helpful. There was milk provided for the guests which was a bonus as I always bring tea bags with me, so saved me a walk to the shop. The location was brilliant and the hostel was very clean"

The only issue is that I’ve stayed in similar hostels, but the price was nowhere near as expensive. I know it’s in Zurich, but it’s still a hostel.

"It was in a great location with a spectacular view of the city at night. Other guests were very welcoming, great place to make friends as a solo traveler. Very cute common space and clean bedding."

"Perfecte. Situat al centre. Difícil el parking, pregunteu abans al hostel on pots fer-ho, si no hauràs de pagar una bona tarifa. És tal qual es veu a les fotos. És tot nou i està molt net. Bona atmosfera i ambient. Propietaris molt amables. Va ser una estada curta però ens vam sentir com a casa. Repetiríem sense dubtar i el recomanarem."

Small but all room in HK is small. This life

"Wonderful staff; onsite restaurant including with a wide choice on menu, reasonably priced if using the unofficial exchange rate. My room was situated by the lake edge and was such a wonderful experience listening just to the waves crushing in the night and awaking to a wonderful sunrise. Truly bliss. Thought powered by solar, my shower was reasonably hot and lighting though dim was constant. I still recommend taking a torch for the sometimes power cuts. Be sure to arrange a boat trip….. you won’t regret it. Eagle bird, cliff jumping and snorkelling. One might even be able to visit the Rastafarian community near by."

Wifi was only available in reception area and to reach room I had to negotiate a steep set of stairs where railings were sometimes missing. Could be potentially dangerous and not recommended if one suffers from knee problems. Whilst orders were excellent the service could be vastly improved. Orders took for ever to arrive and were often cold. Management, if reading, please sort this out!

"M'ha agradat molt la zona de la cuina per poder-te fer el propi menjar. És un lloc molt ideal per estar i relaxar-se. El pati interior, abans d'entrar al Hostel és molt acollidor i còmode per prendre alguna cosa. A mi m'ha anat molt bé per posar la bicicleta a la caixa amb molt d'espai i tranquil-litat. Durant el meu viatge per Geòrgia amb bicicleta m'han deixat guardar la caixa i també la bicicleta al garatge. Un gran equip de treballadors que m'han facilitat la tornada a l'aeroport."

Compartir l'habitació amb 8 persones de vegades no és tant còmode a l'agost. Hi ha molts joves que van de festa i arriben tard. Però per mi no ha estat un problema.

My room was very cold. Even though the landlady turned on the heater earlier than she said she would, it still didn't help much.

"We stayed in the private apartment a few blocks from La Comarca Hostel. It has everything you need - comfy double bed, an en suite with large shower, and a well equipped little kitchen with a stove, toaster, kettle. The whole vibe was very stylish, modern and clean. All the staff were lovely!! I said it was my partners birthday before arrival and they had put up balloons and little treats for us! Although we didn’t stay in the main hostel, it had a warm vibe when we dropped by and we were allowed to leave our bikes down the side of the hostel for a few nights while hiking. Overall, highly recommend!"

"Property had a really nice hang out space and the WiFi worked really well and was very fast for our 2 day stay. Staff helped us arrange a local bus to Chipata."

Rooms very very basic and had a mould issue. But other than that was okay. We didn’t have bed bugs in our room, but we met other backpackers in the dorm beds that said they did have them…

Com a la resta del país, no hi ha persianes i les cortines no tapen del tot la llum del sol al matí.

If you want a beach holiday it's a little far but if you enjoy the cultural aspects it's a perfect spot. Just a little uphill.
