"There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity."

"This is a great place to be at for your stay in Guatemala City! The beds and rooms are clean comfortable and have everything you need. Bathroom is clean, has enough space and hot water. Additionally they now have a kitchen, so there’s really nothing missing. The location is great and feels very safe since it’s a governmental area with police around. Shops, ATMs, restaurants and more. But above all the people that work there are super super nice and welcoming! I really enjoyed staying there and having chats with them. P.s. they changed ownership not too long ago which might explain older not so good reviews"

"Once at the house, the locations is awesome, right on the water with amazing views of the lake. We liked how it was quiet at night being just a just short walk outside of the "downtown" but very close (5-10 minute walk) to everything in San Marcos. The property was spacious, the house was well stocked with kitchen gear, and having the kayaks available was nice, as was the filtered water. Great views in the evening from the deck, and the upper balconies were a great place to read or catch some sun. We also appreciated the extra towels for use at the lake."
