"Exceptional environment, well-kept, among the trees, calm, peaceful. The cottages are built in such a way that they have a pleasant temperature without air conditioning or fans. At night, for the first time in Gambia, I had to cover myself with a duvet. The owner and staff were extremely kind, accommodating, unobtrusive."

"The 3 day stay at the lodge was the start of our holiday in The Gambia and we felt safe, extremely well looked after and absolutely loved the evening meals together. The hosts, David and Linda, made us feel at home immediately - they do a perfect job of combining a socially fair environment for their staff with excellent service for their guests. We especially appreciate this concept. The food was delicious, the beds very comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly in a very authentic way. Their concept of no plastic and solar power works really well. We would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for a fantastic stay David and Linda."

"We enjoyed footsteps. it wasn’t the normal accommodation, that we go to. However, David and his staff were splendid 100% friendly. The property offered more than expected. It gave you a cultural aspect regarding Gunjur. we learnt a lot about the natural environments, ecology and cultural history of Gunjur. We made some great people and had great conversation throughout the night. I will recommend and stay here again."

"Il s’agit d’un eco-lodge avec une vraie considération pour l’environnement. La chambre était agréable avec une belle vue sur le jardin. Tout était très propre. Les activités proposées nous ont plu et nous y avons vu beaucoup d’oiseaux dans les jardins de l’eco-lodge. De plus, la nourriture était excellente!"

"Zeer rustige, op mooie locatie gelegen, prima onderhouden kleine eco lodge. Ruime huisjes, erg goede hete douche en fantastisch eten / menukaart. De internationale gasten eten met elkaar aan tafel tijdens het diner wat zeer gezellig is. Eigen vogelkijkhut op het terrein inclusief veel te spotten vogelssoorten. Ook in de omliggende wetlands en bos veel vogelsoorten. Strand ligt op 30 minuten lopen."
"Bij bewolkt weer is er soms onvoldoende stroom om de ventilator in de huisjes voldoende lang 's nachts te laten draaien. Hierdoor kan het erg warm blijven in het huisje tijdens de nachtrust. Er zit in deze natuurlijke omgeving wel eens een spin of ander insect in je huisje, hier moet je tegen kunnen."
