Villa Fabregas

"Villa Fabrégas is a wonderful place to spend a quiet and relaxing holiday. Situated halfway up a hill it offers a spectacular view of the beach at the foot of the hill (Plage de Fabrégas) as well as the next beach over (Plages des Sablettes). We walked up and down the hill several times during the course of our stay and we can comfortablysay that Villa Fabrégas has the best views. Our room was small but comfortable, with aircon and a small fridge and a relatively large bathroom with a pleasant shower. There is a wonderful swimming pool area, if you don't feel like walking the ten minutes down the hill to the beach. The hosts are very accommodating, always ready for a chat and full of useful information and advice regarding restaurants and things to do in the area. Breakfast is simple but wonderful. Also, there are two cats and two turtles! What more does one need?"

"A couple little things: - The mattress was a little worn, we could feel the springs. - The door into the room couldn't fully open due to newly laid floors. Our host apologised for this upon arrival but it was still a little frustrating at times. - The room is a little noisy - the common area/living room/breakfast area was directly above our room and in the evenings we could hear the TV playing. - Our room was cleaned once during our 11-day stay. Now, Villa Fabregas is not a hotel so you shouldn't expect daily cleanings, but once in a week and a half is perhaps not often enough. (Admittedly, we didn't ask for the room to be cleaned, but I don't think it is something you oughta ask for.) These are tiny irks. Our experience overall was overwhelmingly positive and we would absolutely recommend Villa Fabrégas as a holiday destination."

"L’accueil de nos hôtes, Michel et Laurence, nous ont fait sentir comme à la maison. La chambre est identique aux photos du site avec une superbe vue. J’ai apprécié la piscine sur une fin de journée caniculaire. L’ambiance décontracté dès le petit-déjeuner avec du sucré et du salé est très appréciable. La connexion Wi-Fi, gratuite, est bonne."

"Wir haben uns in diesem kleinen, familiären Hotel sofort wohlgefühlt. Michelle und Laurance sind Gastgeber, wie man sie sich nur wünschen kann – herzlich, hilfsbereit und immer für einen netten Plausch zu haben. Auch mit den anderen Gästen kam schnell ein angenehmer, fast schon freundschaftlicher Kontakt zustande – so macht Urlaub Spaß! Die Lage ist ein Traum: absolut ruhig, mit atemberaubendem Blick aufs Meer, eingebettet in einen urwüchsigen mediterranen Garten, der aussieht, als hätte die Natur selbst ihn gestaltet. Besonders klasse waren die Tipps vom Hausherrn – Insiderwissen, das kein Reiseführer bietet. Highlight: der Bootsausflug mit frisch belegten Sandwiches"

"Haus, Pool und Einrichtung sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Insektenschutz an den Fenstern wäre wünschenswert, und die innenliegenden Bäder ohne Lüftung sind etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig."
