Hostel Vertigo Vieux Port is located 5 minutes from the old port. Its central location means you can enjoy all that this beautiful city has to offer. The first beach is a 15-minute walk away, France's oldest district, the Panier, is 20 minutes away, as is the iconic Bonne Mère, Notre Dame de la Garde cathedral, but be prepared to climb. It's worth it: the views and sunsets are magical! It's a perfect place to have a drink. Auberge Vertigo is also close to metro, buses and tramway lines, so you can hike in the incredible Parc National des Calanques, stroll the streets, enjoy the beaches and the Mediterranean, and visit the surrounding area and Provence ! You'll find dormitories from 2 to 16 beds, spread out in several buildings around a large flourishing courtyard, where you can soak up the sun, have lunch and meet other guests for a drink. You can use the aromatic garden to flavour your dishes. Two kitchens are available around the clock, as well as chill-out areas. A laundry service is available. Sanitary facilities are in the dormitories (several toilets and showers in the 6-, 8- and 16-bed dormitories). You can arrive at any time; our team is on hand at reception to welcome you 24 hours a day. Chen-in from 3pm, and checked out at 10am, but feel free to come before or stay after, leaving your luggage in the free luggage room, taking advantage of the communal areas and the kitchen... The Auberge offers an all-you-can-eat breakfast, served from 8am to 10am, for 6 euros. The rooms and communal areas are equipped with air conditioning and heating, as well as Wi-Fi. You can also enjoy the Vertigo bar-menjador, on the corner of the street, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 6pm to 2am: tapas, bistro, cocktails... "M'ha agradat que fos un lloc tranquil i tant ben ubicat. He pogut descansar bé, i també tant la part de la cuina com la sala són espais confortables. Cada nit he tingut companys/es d'habitació diferents i tots han estat molt respectuosos, fent el mínim soroll possible, així com sent persones educades, indiferentment de l'edat. La situació de l'hostal està molt bé perquè pots visitar molts llocs d'interès a peu. A més et dona tranquil·litat que estigui tant ben situat i al costat tens el supermercat. Com us podeu imaginar fa que tot sigui molt més pràctic. Pensava que seria més sorollós per estar al Vieux Port i afortunadament no ha estat així, he descansat i desconnectat molt. Els recepcionistes també han estat atents😉. En general m'ha agradat anar a l'hostal Vertigo, perquè pel poc temps que hi passes, et fa sentir com a casa, pots descansar, cuinar, relacionar-te amb la gent i d'una manera amena."
"Potser recomanaria que hi hagués en el lavabo una fregona o que fos accessible, perquè quan et dutxes, el terra queda molt mullat i la tovallola que fa de catifa de la dutxa queda molt xopa. Però, tret d'això, superbé!!😊"
"Hostel close the bay, nicexand clean. Kitchen the other building (first time I not found). The receptionist guy it's really helpful, explained everything. Room is big, have lots of space, two showers one toilet (sadly) in the shared room also."

"I read some of the negative reviews and honestly don’t understand them. For this price in France, I’m not sure what more people expect beyond what this place provides. I had a great stay. The staff worked hard, especially the cleaning team, who constantly dealt with dishes left behind by guests. If some reviewers were unhappy, they might be better suited to upgrading to a private room rather than blaming a dormitory for being a dormitory. I would never have had the opportunity to see Marseille and its surroundings without this place. They also offered luggage storage at no additional charge. Thank you!"

"I really enjoyed the one night in this hotel due to the several reasons. Firstly, the location is so nice, i would even say - perfect. Really close to the center and port, easy to reach public transport, supermarkets and restaurants. Very safe and tourist friendly location. Secondly, the working personal was very nice they spoke in english very good and were helpful. Finally, i love the fact of the shared comfy kitchen, it was chilling to having your breakfast in the mornig in the kitchen, it felt like im not in hotel but in home, this feeling was so memorable."
