Les Pampilles

"We booked this house/appartment because of the location in between our stay in Southern France and our home. It also provided a good location to visit some of the Burgundy hotspots like Beaune. When you arrive, the friendly host(s) show you around the lovely garden (with nice swimming pool) and the house. It's basically more of a 2-floor appartment that is attached to the host(s) house, with a corridor in between. All of this was apparently part of the previous gendarmerie station. It's not overly luxurious, but the house offers everything you basically need. The kitchen is properly equiped, the bedrooms are spatious and bathroom is large enough as well. The hosts are very discrete and very friendly, allowing you to use the pool whenever you feel like it. We were also offered a bottle of white Burgundy wine, which is a nice gesture!"

"As you can expect from such an old building, it's not very noise-proof. You can easily hear the noise on the streets, as you're in the city centre. Youngsters driving noisy scooters can keep you awake for a while ;-) Also the stairs creak and the electric toilet noise will scare you as well the first time you use it. But when the bathroom door is shut, it's pretty OK..."

"Nous avons passé un semaine fantastique aux Pampilles. La maison est magnifique, tres bien equipée et le jardin....une merveille pour les yeux! Avec la canicule on a bien apprécié la grande piscine. Enfin, les hôtes sont vraiment formidables. On etait si bien chez eux qu on ne voulait plus repartir !"

"Les propriétaires sont d’une gentillesse extreme, le logement, en plus d’être magnifiquement restauré est, très grand, parfaitement équipé et très calme. Le jardin et la piscine sont magnifiques. Que demander de plus !! Nous reviendrons sans hésiter pour profiter plus longuement de ce petit paradis."

"Heel nette kamers met een prachtige tuin en een groot zwembad. Een hartelijke ontvangst van sympathieke en gulle eigenaren die in hetzelfde gebouw wonen maar zich heel discreet opstellen. Bovendien waren ze heel behulpzaam om uitleg te geven bij wat er in de streek te zien was en om kleine praktische problemen op te lossen."

"Het stadje zelf is wat 'vergane glorie' maar in de ruime omgeving is genoeg te zien om dat te compenseren."
