"Les Ganivelles is a charming house off the main road between Bordeaux and La Rochelle. With 2 bedrooms upstairs and a spacious open living room-kitchen downstairs it was perfect for us. The decor is relaxed but stylish and exudes tranquility. The most gorgeous Christmas cactus I have ever seen. The hosts Laurence and Didier were very helpful but gave us lots of privacy."

"Hôtes vraiment très accueillants et très agréables. Jolie longère proche du chateau de Beaulon et de ses fontaines bleues. Point de départ facile pour les petits ports de l'estuaire, très pittoresques, avec aussi de belles églises romanes. Séjour dépaysant dans une campagne à découvrir."

"Het huis is heel mooi en ligt in een mooie en rustige omgeving. De eigenaren Didier en Laurance waren heel vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. Wij hebben zelfs twee keer met elkaar gegeten waar we van hebben genoten. Zo heb ik doordat Didier oesters anders had klaargemaakt deze weer leren waarderen. Onze honden konden in het huis achterblijven als wij een dag weg wilden en werden door Didier zelfs uitgelaten. Al met al een echte aanrader om bij Didier en Laurance te verblijven."

"The property is very practical for the train stations, well equipped for my short stay and comfortable. There are also good bakeries and small shops near by. It's easy to acces and I have used it a few times."

Thank you for Netflix for children… It was a comfortable, peaceful stay and would recommend. The kitchen was lovely to cook in and bathroom gave a nice hot shower and to open windows onto balcony and street market was just so relaxing . A nice space! "The apartment is exactly like the pictures. Very spacious, clean. A great space to spend some days exploring the area. We were super pleasantly surprised by the little spots you find around the town like the fountain and medieval garden, it is definitely worth having a little walk to explore. We were very close to other points of interest as well and we really enjoyed our little break. The hosts were kind, and the communication efficient and attentive. Thank you very much 🙏"
