Le Petit Clos

"Very nice seemingly family run place... the young man was pretty fluent in English and met us at the reception desk to give us the keys and the gentleman (dad?) showed us the room. It had a lovely countryside view with the water in the distance. The bed was a little firmer than we are used to so we opted to sleep in the main area (it was as larger anyway) and give the room to the kids. The bathroom shower really is tight, but the whole ambience of the place as a whole definitely made up for that. It is lovely and peaceful-it truly felt like a little retreat. The food was pretty good in the restaurant there too. The kids bought a parachute toy from the airborne museum and the man seemed happy to see the kids playing and even dropped it for them off the balcony. Small breakfast buffet of meats, breads, yogurt, fruits, jams, etc and coffee, tea, and juice"

"It was a tiny dusty in the room (just a table), but otherwise clean. The door is a little tricky if you aren't used to that- lift the handle and then turn the key! lol We really liked this place!"

"Ons verblijf was heerlijk ontspannen op een prachtige, rustige locatie, die tevens een uitstekend vertrekpunt vormde voor het bezoeken van musea en andere bezienswaardigheden rond de Slag om Normandië. We hadden een eigen balkonnetje, waar we na een drukke dag in alle rust konden bijkomen. Het eten was werkelijk fantastisch, we hebben zelden zo lekker gegeten. De combinatie van comfort, omgeving en gastvrijheid zorgde voor een bijzonder aangename ervaring."

"Hoewel het verblijf over het algemeen aangenaam was, waren er enkele praktische aandachtspunten. De slaapbank was wat oncomfortabel en bood door de harde, houten rugleuning ook weinig zitcomfort tijdens het televisiekijken. Daarnaast was het in de slaapkamer regelmatig gehorig, met name door de pingpongtafel die zich direct onder ons bevond. De douches waren aan de krappe kant, waardoor je gemakkelijk tegen de kraan stootte en het water plotseling ijskoud of juist gloeiend heet werd. Tot slot gaf de airconditioning een foutmelding aan; hoewel de buitentemperaturen meevielen, had het bij warmer weer al snel benauwd kunnen worden in het verblijf."
