"We set off very early due to there being lots of snow, ice and rain en route. However, the absence of other travellers meant we actually arrived hours earlier than originally planned. Our host welcomed us and got everything ready for us to meet our needs. The fire burned strongly and warmed up the accommodation beautifully. The bed was extremely comfortable and we got an excellent night’s sleep. The apartment is well appointed, so we had everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable. Coffee, milk, orange juice, butter and jam and pastries were provided. This is excellent value for money."

"A couple of small things could be improved. The Wi-Fi could be more powerful. The pellet burner switched itself off in the night and could not be relit. So the room was quite cold in the morning. But overall we were very pleased and would not be put off staying here again."

"It was a cold evening when we arrived. We were met by our host and warmly welcomed. We were pleased to see a nice pellet burning fire going healthily and keeping the rooms warm. She showed us where everything was and told us breakfast would be at 8am, (we were not offered a choice of times for breakfast). The fridge was well stocked with water, orange juice, butter and jams. The bed was comfortable and we awoke early for breakfast and packed the car ready for our onward journey to the ferry."

"8 am came and went with no breakfast. We began knocking on the adjoining door from which breakfast was due to arrive. After repeated knocking it appeared on a tray at about 8.30am with no apology for the unexplained delay. It looked as though it had been prepared much earlier and left in an oven and forgotten about. 2 cold overdone croissants and two cold overdone pan au chocolate. The breakfast let it down, but hopefully this is a one off. We will stay again and look forward to a timely breakfast."

"The property was perfect. A lovely warm fire awaited us on arrival. Comfortable beds, made up ready. Well equipped kitchen. Seating area was comfortable. Crockery, cutlery, all cooking equipment was provided. Large fridge. Washing machine. Towels provided in bathroom was great. A wonderful breakfast was provided by the Host - delicious. Dogs were welcome in the property which was a real bonus!"
