"I am fascinated by these bad reviews...I paid a bargain bucket price for 2 rooms in the middle of Lille - excellent location for us. Right over the road from Eurolille and 5 minute easy walk from the main train station and coaches etc. Was I expecting 5 star facilities? Nope...but we were rocking a budget so we made a choice. It's rooms above a bar and the bar seems v popular - good for them in this economy, frankly. The hotel is indeed in a "lively" spot - of course it will be noisy if you sleep with the windows open, which we did as it was hot but there we go. The bed was comfy and clean and the bathroom huge and also clean with housekeeping in every day - thank you to the lady who did our room. The welcome was lovely and efficient too when we arrived."

"These are not negatives, just honest comments. The rooms are a more than a little tired and both the rooms and the corridors could do with a lick of paint and a refresh at some point but it is what is it - it's rooms above a very busy bar and it's opposite a train station which attracts some restless and loud characters at 3am! I knew where I was going and again, paid an absolute bargain of a price point so all good tbh! Thin walls meant we heard some neighbours but this happens in many hotels."
