"First of all, it's a really beautiful house and home, not just a well-appointed B and B. It's stylish in a traditional way throughout, with red tiled floors in the room and shutters on the windows. Beautiful plants in the garden and a lovely pool - that green is fresher and more inviting in real life than in the photos! The loungers by the pool are more comfortable than they look as well. Second, all the usual aspects, location, cleanliness, comfort, etc are exceptional. But for me, it was the helpfulness and friendliness of Hervé and Catherine that stood out - not only did he lend me his bike to cycle along the canal, but when I had a flat tyre (on my car) in the next village he rescued me after Hertz proved hard to reach, and even ferried me to the tyre shop - and changed it for me! - next day. A really special place to stay, with wonderful hosts."

"I was met on my arrival by Agnès, the owner of the property. I was given a welcome drink after being shown to my room. The bedroom area was very spacious and the separate bathroom was large, with an excellent "hot" shower. I also had a terrace on which I could sit and watch the sunset and listen to the birds, so beautiful. Breakfast was a delight, as were the dinners I had over my two night stay. Most of the food was home made and was really lovely. Such a tranquil place to stay in order to appreciate nature in the Ariège."

"We arrived at Le Domaine du Meunier after a long, wet day of cycling, feeling quite exhausted, and what a wonderful surprise awaited us! The location itself is absolutely gorgeous, full of charm and character, but what really made our stay unforgettable were the hosts. They went above and beyond to take care of us: when we realised there were no restaurants open in the village, they not only found and booked an excellent one nearby but even lent us their car to get there! Such kindness and generosity are rare to find. We also loved chatting with them, they’re genuinely warm, interesting people who make you feel instantly at home. Breakfast the next morning was a real highlight too: homemade, delicious, and served with great care. If you’re travelling through the region, especially by bike, don’t hesitate to stop here. It’s more than just a stay — it’s an experience in true hospitality. Highly recommended! 🚴‍♂️✨"
