"Lovely spacious room, sectioned off for a family of four into sofa-bed area and double bed area. Super king, extremely comfortable, bed. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Free glass of wine on arrival! Good shower."

"Perhaps top of our budget, but okay for one night and a really lovely place to stay. One of the roof blinds wouldn't fully close, so we woke up rather early but we did all manage to go back to sleep!"

"Charles V was really nice. Our room was beautiful and decorated with good taste. In the room we had all we could wish. Our hostess Nadia and her husband were extremely friendly and easy! It was a nice bonus that wine tasting was included in the price. Nadia introduced some interesting wines with expertese. The breakfast was delicious. The center of Mersault was 10 minutes walk away, so very near. The village was charming."

"The welcome and people who work there were amazing. The property is gorgeous and beautifully renovated! The wine tasting at 6pm and the table d'hotes were both fantastic. We learned so much. The village of Meursault is also great - definitely the best of many we have visited in the area. All in all, an incredible experience"

"Accommodation new and clean and well-appointed. Wonderful shower. Host went extra mile to get us baguettes and cheese on arrival and bubble wrap for bottles of wine which were purchased outside his establishment. He arranged for us to visit his wine and barrel facility when we indicated an interest in the latter. He gave detailed explanation of wine storage that was informative more so than many other wine chateaus that we had visited recently in Burgundy. The communal dinner that lady host cooked was excellent. Wished we had asked her for the recipe - pork stewed in wine and Dijon mustard. Must try!!"

"This is a wonderful place to stay! the ambience is great; the bedroom wonderful; the bathroom perfect; the breakfast was excellent too - with copious amounts of food. Do make time for dinner at the hotel too."

"The pool could have been open... given temperature outside of 28 degrees having a swim after a log day travelling would have been wonderful!"
