"Had a feeling that a lot of the waiting staff were being trained. Went down for dinner....no staff around as, I presume, the manager said she had a staff meeting due to a function happening that evening! Sat in the foyer for a while until the receptionist appeared and took us to our table in the restaurant. Just confusing. Also, went we checked in the receptionist stated we needed to pay in cash! Luckily we had sufficient, but I have never paid cash for any hotel booked via booking.com before. We were able to pay for our meal by credit card!! Meal was good, but staff were confused."

"Large very clean room on 2nd floor. Very welcoming staff and plenty of free private parking. Very good meal, particularly the starter and the dessert (tarte tatin!) Breakfast had many and various options, ham, cheese, croissants cake, bacon and egg, cereals, yoghurt, etc. All very fresh and flavoursome. Also wide variety of hot drinks. This is the second time we have stayed here en route to north and will stay again."
