"We had to make a very late booking as arriving in Chatellerault the hotel we had booked turned out to be shut!!! L'Univers stepped into the breach at 8.30pm. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. Room clean and bed comfortable. Good breakfast. Free parking directly outside (until 10am) Centrally located with restaurants nearby."

"The owner was very welcoming and helpful. He even helped me with the parking meter. There was plenty of cheap public parking outside and opposite the hotel as well as a large public carpark very nearby. The room was extremely comfortable."

"It’s in the center of town. Very friendly people. We had an early check in. Which was very nice because it was cold and we were on a bicycle tour. Very traditional French hotel with cracking floors and a very small and slow elevator. Lots of 70’ties charme. But also very clean and a very good and new bed. An there is a inside bicycle storage at a low fee. Breakfast was great."
