"We are primarily travelling by train so close proximity to the train station was a must. Other aspects of the location such as walking distance to the gondola, the fancy squares, a grocery store, a great bakery around the corner (Du Pain Et Des Frangins- highly recommend). There are lots of other things to like at Hotel Gloria. The balcony with a view of the mountains, the hot shower, coat hooks, room is dark and quiet to sleep. AC. The 10 euro breakfast. The staff were happy and kind when engaging with our limited French."

"Lots of places don't have coffee making facilities in the rooms and we miss that as we did here until we found the bakery. The bed was very firm."

"Property was very close to the train station and tram line, very accessible and in walking distance to old town and eateries. Location was very quiet. Very clean, quaint French rooms and old French memorabilia, spacious bathroom and had a lift, which was easy to get bags up to room. Continental French breakfast at extra cost was lovely each morning."

"The location is quiet, close the the train station but far enough not to be noisy and toward the historic part of town, but not there, so no crowds of people, nor restaurants in the basement. The room appeared freshly renovated, everything in best order, not as one could expect from a 2-star city hotel. Small yes, but functional and modern with a vintage touch."

"At Amazon I would rate it with 4-5 stars; here I only can say my stay was "very good", much better than in many 3-star hotels. The "exceptional" or "superb" satisfaction categories I simply cannot afford, these are too expensive. "Very Good" is better than expected, if it would be worse than expected it'd be "Bad". It's a very fine 2-star place!"
