Gite Perle de l'Ecaillon

"We arrived at our accommodation and I almost cried, it was so beautiful and so quintessentially French.  “La Rose Laitière" is a beautiful historic abbey farm surrounded by lush green countryside and was certainly a place to recharge.  The cottage was absolutely delightful, again decorated with such care and attention to detail as only the French know how! Lovely linen and beautiful bedding, this has a bit of everything. French Provincial, white throws, lots of texture and cosy corners. The cottage was spacious, comfortable bed, shower was hot and the heating was lovely. The kitchen was well provisioned. Our host was wonderfully warm and welcoming with lots of recommendations for the local area. Many thanks for a peaceful and enchanting stay."

"Nothing except for the weather! A little rain and wind on our last day. Who cares we were cosy!"

"The whole property is such a beautiful place, the owners really made a little corner of paradise. The working farm is very interesting, the owners will show you around if they have time. But it was so nice to meet all the different animals on the farm and to witness with how much love they are taken care of. The surroundings of the farm are also amazing, it's surrounded by fields and forest. Nature everywhere, so the peace and quiet are truly experienced. Sandrine and her husband are very welcoming hosts, they gave us a very warm welcome and were available throughout our stay for a little word here and there, recommendations for walks or a tour of the farm... 10/10 enjoyed our stay, and we'll definitely come back!"

"Absolutely everything from start to finish. The perfect host that greeted us on arrival and made our stay most enjoyable, beautifully decorated and furnished, just perfect. The first morning we had fresh milk on our doorstep and the delights of violette the farms dog. We felt so relaxed and we will definitely come and stay again....Thank you ♥️"

"There wasn't anything not to dislike"

"Great secluded location for exploring the local area and an extra friendly welcome. Very well decorated in the French country style and an added bonus was meeting the many animals."

"A beautiful Gite with lovely grounds and buildings in a perfect setting and with the garden area so accessible for our dog to roam freely. Our host and son were extremely friendly and helpful. Our accommodation area was exceptional and had so much character. The bonus was staying on a working farm with cattle, made it perfect. Thank you for a super stay.."

"Nothing at all."

"A superb property and the location was so tranquil and relaxed. The host was so accommodating and friendly in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to our future return. We can only express our full thanks and to say, a stay at this property will not disappoint. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality .. Neil, Wendy & Heidi our dog ."

"Nothing at all."

"The room was beautiful, nice little kitchen, nice bathroom, bedroom/ living room was gorgeous and very comfortable. The gardens outside were lovely and well kept. Host was lovely, made us feel very welcome and brought some apple juice round for us. Lovely dog. Bed was comfortable and 2 pillows each were provided which was great as most places now only provide one pillow per person."

"The toilet, it was very nicely done but you couldn't sit forward and shut the door. It was a minor inconvenience but one that seems to be the norm lately. The lane that takes you into the farm is very narrow and very uneven, the bottom of our car caught the stones a few times"

"Calme et tranquillité, dépaysement et commodités à proximité."
