"The apartment is simply furnished, but very comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed. The kitchen is well equipped and when we asked for a large casserole dish the hosts provided one straight away. There is an outdoor space for eating etc. and free parking. Well positioned for Vienne and for wine visits to the Northern Rhone valley. Situated on the edge of Vienne so beautiful countryside within walking distance."

"The walk to the town is fine downhill and has fabulous views of Vienne, but coming back up is very steep and takes about 20 minutes. Fine during the day maybe, but not at the end of the evening after a meal. But the listing does make this clear. On arrival, the hosts asked for payment of tourist tax of 98 euros plus a security deposit of 150 euros. Neither of these things were mentioned in the listing, the booking, or any subsequent correspondence and it took some time for the owners to acknowledge this and to concede that we would not pay this. They could have confirmed this more quickly as it was not our mistake and it did taint the stay a little. I hope the listing will be amended to make it much clearer for future visitors."

"Jean Louis picked us up at the train station ( it was late at night ) and Christine greeted us upon arrival. They were wonderful. Gave us assistance on possible tours(paid for our tour in Vienne), and recommendations on things to see in area and restaurants.They were so very helpful in every way. They even took us to local Marche and gave us many options. Also assisted on how to travel to locations to be easiest and safest! We cook so having a workable kitchen is so great and the access to fresh fruit and vegetables gives you so many options."

"The road up to the GITE is very winding and very steep ( remember this is France), we walked/hiked-it down to town approximately 1 mile ( there is a short cut, but that’s even steeper but doable) coming back up you got a great work out!Takes care of those extra calories you took in at the Boulangerie!"
