"Dame Chouette is French Countryside Cottage Dream. We were there for a nearby wedding, just a few minutes away from the venue so our location was ideal. The house feels like the most authentic European countryside experience with eclectic decor, beautiful grounds & a lovely host. Sophie was so accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. She takes care of the property and the grounds with the love and care that shines through in fresh flowers & luscious greenery. The pool was a lovely surprise- a perfect way to spend a relaxing morning- it was pristine & refreshing. I would highly recommend Dame Chouette for nearby weddings/ a creative moment to recharge or a European summer escape."

"The location is ideal for venues in the area but it is remote if you don't have anything specific planned. Just be aware of planning transportation/ activities ahead of time. On the flipside- the distance from the business of Paris/ Bordeaux is a peaceful way to relax and rejuvenate."

"Heel fijn verblijf gehad hier. De eigenares is zeer vriendelijk, staat steeds klaar. Kregen heel fijne tips om dingen te bezoeken in de streek (ze nam ook contact voor ons op om iets te regelen). Groot domein met mooie tuin en zalig zwembad. Wij verbleven in jungle kamer, heel mooi ingericht, ruime kamer voor een koppel. Heel lekker ontbijt te krijgen!"

"Wij hadden de pech dat we net daar verbleven tijdens een hittegolf. Een ventilator of een klein frigo'tje op zo een momenten hadden wel aangenaam geweest. Maar als je hier verblijft als het minder warm is, zou dat geen probleem zijn. Het zwembad biedt ook goede verkoeling!"

"Ein wunderbarer Ort mit Seele in der Gironde. War für uns ideal für ein stop-over Richtung Norden. Mit Liebe und Geschmack eingerichtet. Sehr besonderes war die freistehende Badewanne im Wintergarten mit Blick in einen gigantischen Bambus. Die Besitzerin war sehr freundlich und so nett eine Pizza zu machen und uns Wein zu verkaufen, weil wir von der Hitze sehr erschöpft waren. Das war sehr nett und super lecker ( sie bietet das Essen normalerweise nicht mehr an)"
