"This is very much a restaurant with rooms. The restaurant excellent. Busy and really good. The room was just about ok but a bit shabby. The shutters didn’t work so it was too light at night. The decor at best eclectic. But breakfast was really very good indeed. The staff charming and helpful. If our meal had been poor or breakfast bad it would have been a 6. Despite our criticism it rose above them. We’re Hoping to go back."

"Great privately owned hotel, stayed there previously in the 90s. A pity we arrived too late for dinner as the restaurant looks superb and prices seemed quite reasonable."

"We stayed over the New Year and it was a lovely experience! There were no staff the evening of 31st December, but the lady behind the desk went above and beyond to make our NYE dinner as romantic and special as possible. We really appreciate the effort, and we'll remember it forever, so thank you! The food at the restaurant was superb and a very decent breakfast too!"

"We initially wanted to book the NYE dinner ahead of time, but communication was a bit patchy over messages. But this was over the Christmas period, so I imagine it would have been busy / understaffed. No harm done, as they were able to prepare something for us. The room we stayed in was a little tired, but very comfortable and clean all the same, and great value for money."

"The Village appears to be run down with a number of empty and derelict properties. However, the hotel is lovely. Excellent food and a comfortable room Foe the location a tad expensive, but if the budget can stretch, very worthwhile"

"Nice hotel in a typical French style. The entrance room is beautifully decorated, and the restaurant is of an excellent quality and in a nice setting. Rooms are comfortable and large, and somewhat old-fashioned but in a cosy way (older furniture, but of good quality). Good breakfast in a small side-room. A few parking spots in front of the hotel, or in the side street"

"Recommended to ask for a room facing the side street. The room facing the main road is quite noisy at night due to frequent truck traffic, which is still hearable in spite of the double-window insulation."

"Dinner was excellent. Extensive wine list from Burgundy. Friendly staff. Although on a busy main road the room was very quiet. Wide choice at breakfast. Arny-le-Duc was an interesting old town."
