"The local area is very disappointing. There were no dining venues open within 15 minutes drive on Saturday when we arrived. We really missed having food available at the property. It was difficult with children to have to drive so far for food. We would have loved to have eaten on the grounds."

"One small downside: our room faced the pool and was close to the road. While it’s quiet at night with the windows closed, it can be a bit noisy if you prefer to sleep with the windows open and enjoy fresh air."

"Breakfast in the lovely Chateau was excellent. We also enjoyed the garden and, had it not been for the rain would have enjoyed the pool too! Interesting to taste the wines produced there - with more time I would have visited the cellars too. The Margaux was my favorite."
"Its a drive to a decent restaurant, but there are many about. The internal window between our lovely room and bathroom could benefit from a 'privacy' curtain."
"The service at the hotel was brilliant. We were welcomed as we drove into the car park, given a tour of the hotel and a wine tasting. We didn’t really want to eat our, and so we got cheese and charcuterie from the nearby supermarket, with the hotel setting the table for us. The breakfast was good too."

"My husband and I were wowed by this hotel. It is beautiful, the rooms are top quality, the gardens are spectacular, the food is amazing. Parking is convenient and the staff couldn't be nicer. It is close to Lyon, but so much easier to navigate if driving. We look forward to our next visit."

"The location is opposite the railway station - excellent for catching trains and central in Marseille. The staff were extremely helpful and warm. First impressions were a bit dismal - the hotel appears shabby as does a lot of Marseille - but the room was a basic good hotel room. We slept well despite a warning about roadworks in the night. If you are arriving with bags, exit via the metro (2 lifts and 1 escalator) and you come out right across the road from the hotel - no stairs! There is also a great patisserie just around the corner from the hotel and across the road. Highly recommended."
