Au Petit Thouars

"Alexander and Guillame could not have made our visit more enjoyable and memorable. A night at Au Petit Thouars was a delightful way to end a hard day of cycling. After storing our bicycles securely in a garage a short walk away we returned to find our bags in our room, a kindness our sore legs needed! Our room had the most astonishing view, a good shower and a very comfortable bed. We ate a delightful meal, exquisitely cooked by Guillame but made special by the conversation and companionship. The evening ended by realising how late it had become. Our sleep was effortless in a dark and cool space and to wake to birdsong from the valley was the best alarm. Breakfast was as perfect as dinner with the best of everything served beautifully. It was a real pleasure to be hosted by A and G in their stylish and comfortable home and we hope one day to share another evening with them.."

"My favourite hotel on my French travels, a real gem. The old property has been imaginatively renovated and elegantly furnished with flair. There are interesting communal sitting areas; the terrace and bedrooms have an outstanding view. It’s situated at the historic centre of Thouars and provides a great location for exploring further. For those cycling, like I was, the secure bike storage was very convenient. Breakfast was simple and excellent. The hotel has a warm, homely atmosphere, with unusual charm! The hosts were extremely welcoming and professional."

"My solo stay at Au Petit Thouars was incomparable. My room had an incredible view of the chateau and the river, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The house is full of inspiring art and magnificent design. The host was so kind and personable and easy to talk to. His kindness exceeded all expectations and made me determined to return again to Thouars and to stay again at Au Petit Thouars!"

J'ai bcp appréciée et ma fille aussi la terrasse notamment au petit déjeuner avec la vue sur la vallée du Thouet et le château. À renouveler à une autre occasion sans hésiter, ne serait ce que pour profiter de la piscine."
