"This chalet and the grounds surrounding it are what dreams are made of. The pictures don’t do it justice in the slightest. It’s so cosy and has such a homely feel you can tell that Henry and his family have put alot of love into making this extra special and thought of every little detail to make for a comfortable and hassle free stay. Our kids said the beds were more comfy than their own back home! We came after Jan but were delighted to see the lights were still up so with the snow it still gave off a Christmassy vibe which we loved. The scenery around the frozen river from the jetty is simply breathtaking and though you are not remote it really feels like you are. We were really impressed with what Rovaniemi had to offer and Henry was very responsive and supportive from the point of booking and throughout our stay. Henry is a true gent and my kids said they were sad to say goodbye to this beautiful country and also to Henry."

"Lovely little place to stay. Privacy for your family. Kids enjoyed the sledges. Sauna was fantastic. House had everything we needed. Hosts were absolutely fantastic. Truly was superb. Would love to come back some time in the summer to explore summer in Lapland."

"Sofa bed could do with a thicker mattress topper. It was still manageable as we ended up putting lighter people on it."

"The property is in an area of incredible natural beauty, it’s very scenic and private too. It had everything we needed for our stay. The host Henry could not have been more helpful or hospitable, he provided us with incredible support both before we reached Finland and during our stay. I can’t recommend this property more highly if you are looking for an authentic Lapland holiday."

"What a magical place! Staying in the log cabin absolutely made our stay, it was just what we needed set in the beautiful forest on the edge of a frozen lake, away from the hustle and bustle! It was so cozy and immaculately clean! Our girls felt so free being able to sledge down outside on their own! Henry was so kind and helpful with any concerns! We have made memories to last a lifetime!"

"Lovely real log cabin on the south edge of a wide river. Very well equipped with lots of cutlery and crockery, dishwasher, good shower, open fire with logs provided. Really quiet at night, and away from lights, so aurora should be good to view North over the river (sadly too cloudy during our visit). Interior very nicely done with exposed logs, rugs, fairy lights. Henry (lovely chap) showed us how to fire up the adjacent sauna which was welcome on a day at -22C. Well placed for visiting Rovaniemi sights - Arktikum particularly good with excellent buffet lunch. We met Santa which was fun. Also did a few local trails and visited the Ranua wildlife park. Note - for those unfamiliar with open fires, don't forget to set the damper lever on the right of the fireplace to open BEFORE you light the fire! Whoops."

"View North from cabin is somewhat obscured by trees - so you can keep an eye on the sky for aurora but would probably have to go down the 40 steps to the platform/jetty by the river to get a decent (clear) view. But that's being very picky about an otherwise fantastic location!"

"Lo chalet è molto curato nei dettagli, pulito, ordinato e ben riscaldato. Facilmente raggiungibile in auto, a 20 minuti circa dall’aeroporto e dal centro di Rovaniemi. C’è tutto quello che serve sia per cucinare che per l’igiene personale. Si trova ai margini di un lago ghiacciato, lontano dalle luci e dai rumori della città, così da poter staccare davvero la mente da tutto e perfetto per vedere l’aurora direttamente dal giardino di casa. Proprio davanti allo chalet si trova la casetta con la sauna, ottima per rilassarsi a fine giornata. La location e la cura dei dettagli lo rendono davvero un posto da favola! Il proprietario, Henry, è molto disponibile, gentile, attento ai bisogni dei propri ospiti e facilmente contattabile. Prima dell’arrivo ci ha contattato lui stesso per fornirci tutte le indicazioni e istruzioni di cui avremmo avuto bisogno."
