"Mario is a fantastic host giving recommendations, when to go out/ where to go. Helping me with the metro (thank you!) and I left my bag with him (twice now) so I don’t have to lug it in all the busses when staying in near(ish)by cities and towns. Honestly fantastic, great central location, cheap and cheerful."

"Shower actually gives good and consistent warm water and water pressure. Which is rare, especially for this price point. Overall a great central location and owners very friendly. Excellent value for a private room with bathroom."

"The location is in the historic center, 5 minute walk to the main plaza. It’s about a block from the trolley station and 5 minute walk to the metro station. The Hostal had hot water. This is important because it was cold and another place I stayed in Equador which was 5 times the price only had tepid water. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a kitchen you can use to cook your own food."

"It was really noisy. You can hear the traffic on the street. People talking, thin walls. Cold with no heat, open air in the hallways,creaky floors. They don’t give you a key to get in and out of the hostal so I felt bad that I had to wake up the staff at 4:30 am for 10 days to leave for the Novena procession at the church."

"Best place to stay in Quito managed by a family. Clean, friendly people, you can feel at home. Well located, 5 min to metro in the old town. I extended my stay there. Higly recommended."

"They could create more hangout / lounge space at the rooftop. The current sala is a bit small. A neighboring room played music during the night, which disturbed my sleep. The manager kindly dealt withthe situation and was able to stop the music."
