Helping me with the metro (thank you!) and I left my bag with him (twice now) so I don’t have to lug it in all the busses when staying in near(ish)by cities and towns. "The location is in the historic center, 5 minute walk to the main plaza. It’s about a block from the trolley station and 5 minute walk to the metro station. The Hostal had hot water. This is important because it was cold and another place I stayed in Equador which was 5 times the price only had tepid water. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a kitchen you can use to cook your own food."
"It was really noisy. You can hear the traffic on the street. People talking, thin walls. Cold with no heat, open air in the hallways,creaky floors. They don’t give you a key to get in and out of the hostal so I felt bad that I had to wake up the staff at 4:30 am for 10 days to leave for the Novena procession at the church."
