"It was a really nice hotel in the Embassy quarter of Algiers, giving it a reputation as being a very safe part of the city, making evening walks perfectly safe. There are many restaurants and cafes immediately around the hotel. The staff were really nice, spoke English, and exchanged Pounds into Dinar at the same rate as Google."

"The only negative is that the hotel isn’t on the metro or tram lines. However, despite the negative online comments about the taxi drivers in Algiers, we were lucky enough to meet one who took really good care of us. We hired him for 2 days to show us all of the sights of Algiers and a trip to Tipasa (including 2 lovely restaurants to sample local foods) for around £120 total. This chance encounter transformed our trip."
