Picard Beach Cottages

Standing on 6 acres of an old coconut plantation, these private cottages offer access to the beach and views over Prince Rupert Bay. A wellness centre with massage services is also available. A private balcony and a kitchenette are found in each decorative bungalow at Picard Beach Cottages. Each bungalow is either located directly on the beach or next to the fruit and flower gardens. Guests of Picard Beach can enjoy water sports including snorkelling along the reef, scuba diving or kayaking in the bay. A tour desk and a launderette are also available. Le Flambeau Bistrot & Bar is located next to the resort and serves a menu of local and continental meals. A wide selection of cocktails is also offered. Fort Shirley is less than 5 minutes’ drive from the cottages. The Indian River is 5 minutes’ walk away.

"Exceptional stay We only stayed for one night, but everything was perfect. The host is incredibly kind and very professional — communication was smooth and welcoming from the start. "We had a truly wonderful stay here! The cottages are well furnished and clean. The kitchenettes have the most essentials you would need for your time there. The best part is the location next to the beach, which feels almost private since there aren’t many people. The staff were always, really, really helpful."

"We loved our beachfront cottage, neither of us wanted to leave. The beach is beautiful and we almost had the place to ourselves. We only had a quick weekend away but we visited from a neighbouring island and plan to go back and enjoy the setting once again and experience a little more of the surrounding area. The breakfast available at the adjoining restaurant was really great and we also tried lunch on our final day. Staff were exceptional, we had atm issues on our final day and they were able to assist in order for us to get home without missing our departure. I absolutely loved waking up to the sound of the sea and opening the cottage door to the morning light over the water. Could have spent hours on the shady terrace reading, it was perfect. I also made a fuss of the resident cat, she was gorgeous."

"The Cottages right at the beach are lovely. I liked the idea that you can see who has stayed in which cottage during the filming of pirates of the caribbean. The beach is cleaned from seagrass every morning and a the staff is very friendly"

"Beautiful views overlooking the sea. I saw a rainbow. The facility is set up to be self servic but you can also order food off the menu. Elevated local food was excellent. The host was very attentive and accommodating where possible."

"Grand appartement au rez de chaussée dans une maison neuve, lits confortables, climatisation dans les chambres, grand canapé lit, il manque quelques ustensiles de cuisine mais dans l'ensemble tout est très bien, le propriétaire très sympathique parle français. Bon rapport qualité prix, entre Portsmouth et Calibishie, de nombreuses activités à découvrir (Paradise valley garden, Baptiste chocolate factory, Gin distillery, cascade Bwa nef, plages)."
