Venus Beach Hotel

"We liked the hotel. It is close to the beach, the promenade and, on the other side, to a lively street with numerous cafés. The Tombs of the Kings are also nearby. The buffet breakfast is varied, everything is fresh and delicious. Special thanks for the separate stand with Cypriot national appetisers/sauces. The staff are pleasant, always ready to help, but unobtrusive."

"This was not a surprise to us, as we had carefully studied the photos and reviews, but the hotel really needs renovation - stains on the ceiling in some places, holes sewn up in the curtains - these are all minor issues that do not interfere with or threaten life, but their absence would improve the overall impression from ‘good’ to ‘excellent’."

"The location and the beach, the staff overall. We had a short stay of 2 nights but we were able to use most of the amenities I believe, as there is not much to do. Make sure to have cash for towel deposit as they dont take card and they require deposit."

"It is a bit old and needs some renovation, especially the restaurant/breakfast and dinner area. Breakfast had lots of options, but they weren't appetizing. The room we booked and paid was sea view, but it was partial sea view , you cant even see the beach from the room... you can see who is in the pool, if considered sea. Also there was a rude employee at the front desk who informed us of a stupid rule that we are not allowed to do shopping from lidl and bring bags to the hotel. We werent going to in all cases, but the was he said it was very rude and made us feel very lowly . The hotel says beachfront, which is, but it is a paid beach, so get ready to pay at least 15Euros everyday for 2 beds and another 5 for a shared umbrella."

"Location to beach and beach access excellent. This compares to other hotels along the nearby coastline where there wasn’t much of any beach except rocky shores and climbs down. So very good in this respect. Breakfast times, quality, variety and quantity of food all excellent. Waiting staff very efficient and polite. Room service and staff were polite and their work was excellent with sundries ( water, refreshments, fresh towels) and beds remade every day to very high standards."

"The hotel restaurant had a very limited menu. Despite this the meal we had was very good. We stopped on this occasion on a bed and breakfast basis; however we feel that we wouldn’t stop here on an “ all inclusive” basis because of this limited menu."

"Amazing location - beach and promenade! Decent selection at breakfast. We stayed at the hotel to go to beach for a swim in the morning and then were driving around the island. And had nice evening walk on promenade. We paid less than 90 eur a night for B&B and felt we got a decent deal."

"If you don’t rise your expectations too high and rather aim for older 3 star hotel experience - you will be okay :) Staff is doing the best they can with resources they have. This hotel deserves a renovation - because location really is amazing :)"

"Venus beach hotel    Very much a 5* hotel on the outside, good looking, good location on sea front. Great pool and facilities with view of beach. Sunsets look stunning. Staff are attentive and friendly. Breakfast area Restaurants are good. Food for the breakfast can be cold as heated containers only warm. Plenty of choice though. Our room needed bit of TLC as some stains on curtains and woodwork, a cupboard door hinge loose and handle re stuck back on, and need good clean in shower area. But still good roomy room with air con, fridge, kettle, coffee maker and plenty of English sockets with USB and type C sockets. Fairly quiet and still warm in mid November. Loungers by pool free but pay on beach. Few restaurants and pubs within 10 minutes walk on road and Harbour maybe 50mins to an hour walk along road or beach path."
