Residència Monte Real is 15 km from Arenal Volcano National Park and 20 km from the suspension bridges. Juan Santamaría International Airport is a 2-hour drive away.

"Beautiful setting close to centre of La Fortuna but lovely riverside by the restaurant made us feel close to nature. Food excellent and we saw kingfisher and heron at breakfast with colourful small frogs nearby. All staff: reception, cleaners, chefs, waiters, gardener were really friendly and helpful. Great value for money, especially with the plunge pool/small swimming pool."

"The Garden view from our room on the second story was exceptional. I could see all sorts of birds. I even saw toucans! Very clean and well maintained. Has a mini resort feel. Good space. It was worth it getting the included breakfast. Delicious fruit and coffee and a good selection of breakfast cooked fresh for you."

"Absolutely loved our stay here. The location with the lush river backdrop and the beautiful garden was amazing. It was so quiet. We saw a sloth right on the first day, also toucans, frogs, poison dart frogs, a king fisher, iguanas, vultures. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the à la card breakfast was cooked to our liking. The veggie omelet was really great. The balcony was great to dry clothes and the fridge was really big."

"Convenient location, just a few blocks from the main square and town centre. Nice and friendly service - in the reception, at the restaurant and by the cleaning staff. Spacious room. The hotel did not really look too modern, but was a comfortable, convenient stay for us for 1 night. Really tasty omelette in the morning :). Good solution if only passing through La Fortuna. If staying more than a night or two, I would opt for something fancier though."
