"The breakfast was basic. Butter smelt and tasted odd. Fruit was delicious. There could be hooks to hang towels etc in the bathroom. The curtains could be better than just gloth roughly sewn hanging. Instead of perspex on the window proper glass would keep noise level lower."

"Location was ok for us, as we were just about to leave Costa Rica and you get to stay around a green area, so that was perfect. The fact that you have free parking was a major plus for us as well! Everyone was nice and our room was quite big, which was a nice touch."
"Breakfast didn't work so well (when we got there there were barely any dishes and a lot of the things were not proactively replaced, you had to ask for, which makes the whole buffet experience less nice. In our room at least the hot water didn't work so well and the lack of A/C may be an issue, as the fan is quite loud."

"A really friendly place, placed right next to Parada La LILIANA and Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica. Hotel Columbus is old and shows its wear and tear, but that just adds to the hotel's charm."

"This hotel might be a little bit out of the centre of the city but it’s situated next to the international football stadium and large park. Our room was not on the busy road, so it was quiet. Staff were very helpful, room was clean and spacious. Good breakfast. We had to leave early and they kindly packed breakfast to take away. Not plush but very functional. Also had hot water."

"Given the price reality of São José, the room was a great value for money. The internet was excellent, the room was clean and of a decent size, and the breakfast was hearty. Communication with the staff was excellent; they were always very helpful and prompt. In the end, it was a hotel that truly met our needs. We ended up booking additional nights, and it was even great for working remotely from there."

"Breakfast with no limit and very nice variety was great! Lots of windows gave awesome view from the second floor room. Delicious Asian food on the first floor was available for Dinner! It was clean, room smelled fresh. Inside is much better then the outside appearance."
"No elevator can wear you out to get to second floor. No direct access from the parking to the interior of hotel. Expect to wait a while for your dinner, though it was delicious!"
