"Wonderful lady on reception. Place feels safe. Clean. Lots of plants. Lovely breakfast. I was able to walk to nearby places of interest and get cheap Ubers to further destinations. The location is unique as it is on a street with a railway track on it. But I only saw one train and heard one other whilst I was there for 2 nights."

"We needed to leave early so we asked for the earlier breakfast. It was no problem so we enjoyed it on the balcony. The room and bathroom were big. Hostel is located in asian neigborhood so it gives an interesting vibe."

"located in a safe part of the city at the edge of the centre, close to the bus terminal for buses towards the pacific coast. Employee was nice and friendly, speaks English. The dorm room was spacious and I was the only one in there that night. Wifi is good."
"The restaurant that belonged to this hotel, was just closed a few weeks before I arrived (but you can easily walk to the city centre to find something else). The price I had to pay was higher than Booking.com promised when i booked it, but this was a fault of Booking. The kitchen was really small, you can not really cook there youself, only boil some water. Breakfast was simple, no rice and beans unfortunately."

"comfortable accommodation close to the center and the terminal, Flor is a very nice, kind and helpful hostess, she provides above-standard service for a low price, keeps everything in absolute cleanliness and will meet your needs, for example she arranged for me to have my laundry washed and dried within a few hours and at a price that you won't find anywhere else in Costa Rica. I felt very comfortable here and if I ever make a stopover in San José again, I would definitely like to stay here again"

"Flora, the main caretaker, was very friendly and helpful. She showed me where things are and had my room prepared. Everything was kept clean and tidy. Flora also advised me where I can find restaurants. The hostel is also quite secure which is an added peace of mind."
