"The description does not make it clear that there is no kettle or fridge in the actual room. Therefore we had to go out to the shared kitchen even to make a cup of tea. Awkward stairs up to room. Bath very slippery when using shower. Hair dryer only works on cold. No sauna. The room was called the backpackers room on the door, which was what it was, rather than a family room as described on booking.com"

"Skindles Guesthouse is perfectly situated and a couple of minutes walk away from Talbot House museum and the town square and the bars/restaurants. There is off street parking which was good and the sat nav took me straight to Skindles. Skindles has a quirky feel too it with a fair bit of history to it which gave it more charm. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable.. I did manage to peek into another room when we arrive again it was spacious and clean."

"That a hard one as i truly feel that there was nothing negative about Skindles .. I suppose if you struggle with stairs that maybe an issue but apart from that it's a great place to stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.. I found it perfect"

"Location was excellent being close to the central square and many of the restaurants and attractions. Liked the fact that it was an historic building with many original features. Breakfast was self prepared in apartment (self catering). The free coffee in one of the communal areas was good and appreciated."

"There was noone at the property when we arrived, although we informed the host that we were arriving late. They did not provide us with a code to get into the building and they had not prepared a room for us, so we had to wait until they sent us a code to get in. It was very dark inside, there was noone there, we didn't know where the lights were and had to find our way around. They had not prepared a room for us, and told us to pick any room that had bedsheets on the bed. It was quite chilly in the room and we could not figure out how to turn on the heat. Some instructions left in the room on how to use the appliances would be very helpful for international travellers, as we are not familiar with the appliances/heating devices in Europe."
