Sungold House Barbados

"Really great house in a perfect location. We booked the 2 bed ground floor and 3 bed first floor for our family of 8 and it had everything we needed. Plenty of space in the living areas. Kitchens were well equipped and spacious. Bedrooms very comfy and each with their own bathroom. Outside area was clean and the pool was perfect. The house was a short walk to the shops/ bars/ restaurants and also the most beautiful beach. We were greeted by Sandra who was on hand if we needed anything. Jan the host was amazing at organising trips and transfers and any questions we had she was able to answer them. Also Jan is a great cook and made us a very tasty traditional meal on our last night there. Would highly recommend this property and fingers crossed we will be back again 😍"

"No breakfast but The apartment is lovely clean and comfy. The proximity to the beach is great also walking distance to Speightstown is muy convenient. Surprisingly quiet for a place so close to the road. All in all a great experience and property"

"Everything was great - greeted on arrival, shown around and made to feel very welcome. Jan and her team answered all of our questions and helped to make our stay fantastic. The breakfasts were delicious and Jan was flexible with timings to work around the family and our plans. Location was ideal - short walk to the beach and shops."

"We loved the proximity to fabulous Heywoods Beach and the short walk into Speightstown. We liked that there was a small pool for a dip. We appreciated the regular cleaning. The 3-bed apartment was plenty big enough and we loved being able to sit on the verandah. Excellent air con and fans. Lots of storage and hangers. Super-friendly and super-responsive owners who helped with transfers, car hire and problem solving."

"Small things: we would have preferred cotton linen on the beds especially in a hot climate. The second bathroom could do with an update and the water pressure can be a problem."

"We had an amazing stay at Sungold House, everything was great, Jan and Gary are brilliant hosts, they helped with anything we needed. The apartment was spacious, clean and has everything you could need. The location is excellent, across the road from the beautiful Heywoods beach and within waking distance to bars and restaurants."

"Had everything you need in an apartment. Lovely cosy apartment. In a good location and pool was lovely . Lovely lady and staff who owns property. Nice to have the beach chairs to take out for the day."

"I thought I had booked a room with a terrace/ balcony but I hadn’t . But we could go and have our breakfast round the pool."

"The apartment was very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. A large balcony and spacious living area, location was very close to the beach and great connections to other areas of the island, local transport was easy . Fab"

"The bed in my room in front of the window and no headboard, the pillows were very thick but these were very minor things"

"Close to our favourite beach and town it was a magical few days. Lovely pool to dip in and keep cool. Apartment was modern, cozy and well equipped. Wonderful honour bar by the pool so you can relax with a drink after a hard day at the beach. All amenities (supermarket, bars, beach and bus terminal) are within a 10-15 minutes walk."
