"Lin is an amazing place to visit, not only as the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Europe, but also for its timeless charm and warm-hearted people. Everywhere in the village you feel a genuine welcome, especially from Toni and his lovely wife at Villa Stavri. We only stayed one night and sadly missed the night fishing trip with Toni, but that’s another yet reason to return!"

"The owner of the house is a fisherman and catches fresh koran (the expensive and special fish found only in Pogradec and Lin) and you can accompany him in his fishing at 03.00 am to see the whole experience up close and enjoy it together with other fresh traditional foods cooked by the hostess for lunch or dinner at low prices and the fantastic view of the lake in a garden full of flowers. You felt like you had the whole house to yourself with the peace and quiet that the view and sounds of nature offer and the chirping birds accompanied us all day and made us immensely happy. The landlady is very kind, homely, and is there for you for anything you need at any time. The rooms are large, have plenty of space, and are very clean. The bathroom has everything you could need, making your stay in the apartment easier. Typical Albanian breakfast with homemade products such as jam, pancakes, cheese, and eggs. I recommend it and would be happy to come back."

"Wir wurden sehr herzlich von der Familie empfangen. Die Lage der Unterkunft mit direktem Zugang zum See ist einfach fantastisch. Wir hatten die Möglichkeit, mit dem Boot hinaus auf den See zu fahren und Lin auch von dieser Perspektive aus kennen zu lernen. Die Krönung war das Abendessen im Garten mit Blick auf dem See, gegrillte, frisch am selben Tag gefangene, Ohrid Forellen mit frischem Salat und einem leckeren, lokalen Weißwein. Das wird uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben und war auf unser ganzen Rundreise durch Albanien nicht mehr zu toppen. Das Frühstück war landestypisch, von den Gastgebern selbst zubereitet und mit viel Liebe serviert. Es gab Eier, Gemüse, Käse, Jogurt , hausgemachte Konfitüren und selbstgebackene Brötchen. Dazu natürlich einen starken, türkischen Kaffee mit etwas Gebäck. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Unser Fahrzeug konnten wir sicher auf dem Grundstück der Gastgeberfamilie abstellen, so dass wir uns um keinen Parkplatz kümmern mussten."
